Blockbuster Business Idea - On-Demand Movie-Trailer Kiosk In Video Rental Stores

Last night I went to the Video Rental Store to rent a movie. I always find myself in the same predicament every time I'm at Blockbuster - I see a movie that looks interesting but I'm afraid to rent it because I've never heard of it. As always, I have to base my decision on the plot description and photos of the movie on the back of the box. That's not a good way to make a movie rental decision.

I always wish there was some way to view the trailer at the video rental store to make it easier for me. Why hasn't someone produced an on-demand movie-trailer kiosk for video rental stores? It should be easy enough. I'm sure the technology to do it is available. Someone can build a searchable database of movies that could be placed in rental stores where consumers can find the trailer they want via a touch-screen monitor and watch any trailer they want.

Perhaps that's a good business idea if someone were to build this type of kiosk and sell them to the big movie-rental chains. Or maybe Blockbuster can just make it themselves. It sure would be beneficial to consumers and, perhaps, bring more people into the stores.
