I am a lawyer and trade-mark agent, receiving the Educational Foundation Prize from the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada ("IPIC") for obtaining the highest overall standing in Canada in the 2003 trade-mark agents’ qualifying examination. I am an associate member of IPIC and an active member of a number of their committees. In particular, earlier this year I served as the Director of a week-long course offered jointly by IPIC and McGill University, called "The Trade-marks Practitioner: An Advanced Course".
