Architects and contractors provide tips for selecting a good contracting company
for your new building projects and how to get quality construction work:
•Paul W. Athineos, RA, NCARB - When selecting a contractor:
1. Ask your architect to recommend someone. Generally, an experienced architect knows contractors in
the area that are good and reliable.
2. Consider hiring the architect to supervise the job. Very often owners need to work to pay for
construction and they don't have time to spend watching the job or the experience to understand if
the work is perfomed correctly. Experienced architect + Experienced contractor = Job Well Done
