Do you need do-it-yourself drywall installation tips? The following
contractors and construction workers share their drywall installation tips and advice to help
you install drywall:
•Gordie Glavan - When installing drywall, always examine the
framing of what is being drywalled prior to starting. Try to start at a point that will result in
there being the least amount of joints to be taped. Always apply drywall to
the ceiling prior to the walls. Remember to stagger the sheets of drywall so
that no two sheets side by side end on the same joint. This also applies to
walls if drywall sheets are being applied horizontally. If they are being
applied vertically, be sure the sheets reach from the ceiling to the floor
and that they are pushed up tight to the ceiling.
