Are you a public speaker? Does public speaking interest you? A good public
speaker knows how to orate, motivate, and influence crowds and this is an important skill to have
as many business leaders are also great public speakers. The following professionals share their
public speaking tips:
•David Mayer - Remember it’s easier to speak in front of a large
crowd of strangers than a small crowd. The lack of an intimate connection can actually take the
pressure off.
Speak more slowly. On stage, everything speeds up, and the best speakers take deep breaths, speak
on the exhale and enunciate. It may sound weird to you, but you’re probably right on.
Talk as if you were making a strong point to one of your friends.
