Sales closing techniques - made popular by master salesman, Zig Ziglar.
Zig had a different close for every possible situation. And he named them... Embarrassment close...
No-hassle close... Trial close... Valuable customer close... Attitude close... Alternate of
choice close... but no matter what they'd been named, sales closing techniques were designed to finish
off a sale. But do they work? The following salespeople offer their opinions:
•Tino Buntic - There was a time and place for sales closing
techniques. I think they worked in the past (a long long time ago) but are now outdated. People have
become resistant to "being closed" and see it as a pushy tactic by sleezy salespeople. Rather than use
techniques to close a sale, sales professionals should sell using a consultative approach. You can still
be a top sales producer without actually using sales closing tactics.
»Tino created TradePals to provide free sales leads to salespeople
across North America.
